Florida Hotel

The garden-facing rooms have lovely views and bigger beds, and both the rooms and bar area have improved a lot. From the entrance on Entebbe road, looking through the restaurant, you might think the hotel isn't operating. Go inside or use the main reception and you see how beautiful it is.

We arranged a group wedding and brought the bagole to the hotel for their weddingnight. It was affordable, and the customer care was good.

It's a bit far from where I am, but I still think about the food. I'd happily eat my supper here every night.

The WiFi barely worked, and it wouldn't reach my room, so I had to stand in the hallway under the router. The road outside is one of Kampala's busy streets, and opening the windows for some air meant so much noise that I didn't sleep at all. The ceiling fan in my room was broken, and all the toilets on the middle floor were leaking and didn't work properly. Some rooms have hot water and some don't. You have to ask for a room with hot water, since they won't tell you otherwise until you find out yourself. None of the rooms seemed fully functional when I arrived. Once they have your money, they don't seem to care about your experience or treat you with respect. They won't accommodate guests, and you get what you paid for: a non-functional room until you leave. Watch out for extra hidden fees too. Please don't book here if you want to enjoy Kampala. I was unsatisfied, it wasn't worth the headache, and I'm never coming back, even if someone paid for my stay. Save your money and book next door.
