The room was clean and practical, with a comfortable bed, working air conditioning, and steady Wi-Fi. Breakfast had enough choice for an easy start to the day, and reception and restaurant staff were polite and quick to respond when I needed help. Holiday Express Hotel is on Luwum Street, close to shops and transport, so getting around was simple. The building is older, traffic can be heard during busy hours, and some parts feel dated, so don’t expect luxury. For a straightforward, central base in Kampala, it’s good value. I’d stay again with those expectations.

Rooms are clean and well maintained, and there’s elevator access and free parking. The property sits in central Kampala, right by Fresh Foods Market and the Indian temples, and not far from the main Kampala Road. You’re near many tourist attractions as well as government ministries and corporate offices. Call ahead so they can guide you on how to drive to the property.

There are cockroaches in the rooms. The food is mostly Ethiopian, so they should try offering food from other places too.
