Agandi Uganda Eco-lodge

We had a good room and really friendly service, with great views from the location. It’s close to the ruhija gate gorilla trekking and a small village, though the prices are on the high side. The dining area is being rebuilt, so we ate on a small terrace. It was nice while we were the only group there in early May, but could be a problem with more than one group.

The staff were unbelievably kind and made us feel special. The rooms, service and food were all great, and Agandi Uganda was a perfect base for gorilla trekking and exploring the forest. Nights can get quite cold, so bring warm clothes. There’s no room heating, but they provide hot water bottles and extra bed linens.

The bedroom was spotless and had a fantastic balcony to sit on, and the mountain views were lovely. Evenings get chilly, but they light a firepit, which made things cosy. The food was very nice, and a hot shower was ready shortly after we asked staff to turn on the boilers. We stayed two nights on our trip and would definitely return when tracking gorillas in Ruhija.

Elizabeth, the manager, and Moses, her assistant manager, really went out of their way to welcome us and make us comfortable. We had an excellent stay at Agandi Uganda lodge. The beds were extremely comfortable, the lodge has great views, and the food was the best we had in Uganda. I’d highly recommend it.
