The breakfast was good, thanks to the chef, but I wouldn't choose this hotel again. My flight was delayed and I arrived in the middle of the night, so I needed somewhere to settle in quickly. The room's infrastructure was very substandard, with rusty bathroom fixtures. Tap water came out very yellow, and getting hot water for a shower was a hassle. The soundproofing was poor: people were talking and laughing by the pool at 11:30 pm, then there was corridor cleaning and loud chair and table moving upstairs early in the morning. The Wi-Fi kept having problems until it was fixed, and my own network had only one bar before disconnecting completely that night. It felt like I was living in the bush. I don't usually leave bad comments, but I feel management needs to hear this. At the same price as other hotels in Muyenga, this was far below standard and not worth the money.

Hotel International Muyenga is away from Kampala's busy streets and noise, making it a comfortable place to chill. It has a health club, steam bath, sauna, and gym, along with local and international dishes. The bar and restaurant are well stocked, and guest rooms have DStv and free Wi-Fi. It's a highly rated chillout spot with a wide range of services. Come experience it.

Afro park just opposite is a thousand times better, drawing revellers and diners in swarms, while this place feels like it's missing something. It's a great location that's been let down by management. They need good staff and should improve the primitive-looking structures.

The gym and pool are on point, and the reception is very good. Rooms are spacious, though they'd be nicer with a fresher smell. The food is great and nicely priced. A fresh coat of paint wouldn't hurt either.

I used to come here for lunch or dinner in the 90s and liked the quiet garden area, away from the pool and hotel. I had lunch here recently, and the food was lousy. That experience convinced me not to come back. Best forgotten, put kindly.
