Room 77 is especially poor value, and the place is expensive for what you get. It’s very dirty: the walls aren’t cleaned, the bedding is reused, and the bathing taps are badly tampered with. The mosquito nets aren’t reliable either. You’d expect decent ventilation and maybe a fan, but it’s damn.

A good budget spot in Busega, just 30M from Buddha bus stop stage. It’s quiet and the rooms are neat. My suite cost $8, and chips and goat were only $3.2, can you imagine?

The beds feel a bit old fashioned, the TVs in the rooms are funny, and hot water is optional in some rooms. Still, Platinum Royal Hotel is a nice option on Kampala’s outskirts, in Busega near the Busega _Masaka road round about. Rooms run from 30,000 to 60,000 on an average budget, with breakfast served from the menu. There’s ample parking, a conference room, and a mini bar. You can check in anytime, and it’s one of the better choices for party revelers around Kampala. Give it a try and taste the restaurant meals.

They deserve more than five stars for how caring they are and how clean the place is. The beddings especially, oh my God, I love this place. Please visit and you’ll see a great difference.
