Sky Beach Hotel

The pool and food were lovely, and there’s a nice view of the water. The staff look good too. Every service was just perfect.

My family had a five-star experience at Skybeach hotel Entebbe for an affordable price. We loved the elegant rooms and their lovely lake view, and the meals were delicious 😋. Manager Derrick Sserunjogi and the staff showed wonderful hospitality. The setting at Sky Beach Hotel is eco-friendly, and we’d recommend it to tourists and families.

There’s a swimming pool and a play area with swings, and more than 200 rooms starting at 150k. Google Maps helped with navigation, but the property’s signposts were even more useful. For a good seat, ask for the rooftop terrace, which has lovely lake views. There isn’t much beach or sand. Fish and chips cost 40k and came in a decent portion, but took over an hour to arrive. Payment was cash or MM only, no Visa.

Patience was the bright spot for me. She was friendly, chatty, and kindly helped move my things when I switched rooms. The internet was down, so they gave me a local SIM instead. The food was good but limited, and most staff were helpful and friendly. There was a TV in the room, though it seemed someone else was controlling it. My two nights were booked separately. The manager wanted to charge more for the second night, and argued when I refused. I said I wouldn’t leave a bad review, so I’ll just describe what happened. I changed rooms on the first night after finding several huge cockroaches in the bathroom. The mosquito net wasn’t adequate, and there was no air con, so I asked for a fan. The hotel feels run down and dirty. The sauna, steam room, and gym weren’t worth paying for, and the pool wasn’t very clean, though it wasn’t too green. There were nettles along the path edges, although some were cut back. The beach was flooded during lockdown and is gone. The advertised bar is just a room with fridges holding water, soda, beer, and cider. As far as I could tell, none of the balcony doors shut properly. If you can handle poor amenities, you do at least get a pool, a warm shower by the pool, and mostly friendly staff.
