The little restaurant was wonderful, and the night front desk woman was very kind. The morning crew, though, was a nightmare, and I wouldn't go near this hotel again. They charged our card three times and never refunded the extra charges. The phone number doesn't work either. While we were there, they painted the stairs without warning or signs, so paint got on our new leather luggage and clothes. Staff didn't help get it off, and actually made the mess worse.

The rooms were clean, and some staff were quite helpful, but I wouldn't recommend the place. Breakfast was terrible, and the kitchen was inconsistent: some days the food was okay, other days it was bad. Some nights can also get noisy when there are events in Masaka Town.

The food was very good, with Italian, Indian and Ugandan options at dinner, plus a hearty breakfast of bread, potatoes, fruit, eggs and coffee. Service was good and the staff attentive. For the price, it's a good hotel in a great location, with top views of the Masaka hills.

The location up on the hill is lovely, with beautiful sunrises and cool breezes, and everything we need is close by. The hotel is also very clean and the breakfast in the morning is quite good. My wife and I are staying at Golf Lane Hotel for an extended period, and the friendly, helpful staff have made us feel at home. A big thank you to Harriet Sara at reception, the restaurant team Garrett, Harriet, Grace, Sarah, Elias, and chefs Samuel and Alfred, Charles and Stidia in maintenance, Gorrett in the laundry, and the team leaders Hajat and Christine (manager). Everyone has been so welcoming and made this a very pleasant stay.

I never had any concerns about my safety during my 10-day stay, and I'd happily come back. The location was great, the place was clean, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast and dinner were provided, and I had a great view from the balcony. As someone from the United States, I'd recommend it.
