The place could have been the best, but Liz treats us, the clients, disrespectfully. I've had several run-ins with her. Liz is the problem, she's supposedly the manager's wife.

A clean, quiet, and safe little place, not far from the city center. It's comfortable and charming, with very good food and service, and the prices are great. They take card payments too. Half the profits support local doctors in a surgical specialty program, which makes it even better.

The food was delicious and the service was lovely. We also liked having a calm place to get away from the busy city, tucked off the main road in Mbale. They support young surgeons in East Africa, so the meal benefits others as well. Wish we'd discovered it sooner!

Nkoko njeru terraces in Mbale city is a good spot to hang out and catch a cool breeze in the hot weather. It has an African feel, good coffee, cold drinks and tasty snacks at competitive prices. They also support local surgeon trainees.
