You can pick your own spot at this roomy, well-kept campsite, so we found a quiet place surrounded by nature. At night, we could hear hyenas far off, which was unforgettable. The campsite was peaceful, with clean, well-maintained facilities and warm showers. Alexander, the manager, was friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Camping was $12 per person, good value for what you get. Breakfast is available for $10, and we enjoyed the delicious three-course dinner for $15. I’d recommend it if you’re after a quiet stay close to nature.

The tent was good and the food was okay. The shared bathrooms had lots of insects, which we expected. There’s not much around, though the park entrance is close. We were a bit disappointed by the park itself, since we didn’t see many animals.

We were very happy with the wildlife viewing, even though the standout moment came when the staff alerted us to a lion sighting. Thanks to their attentiveness and the lodge’s proximity to the national park, we were able to drive over quickly. We also saw elephants, hippos, buffalo, impala, and more. The lodge sits in a game reserve beside Queen Elizabeth National Park, and a baboon ran through the camp. Alex, Emmanuel, and the whole team made us feel at home. They even had tea and dinner ready when we arrived late on Friday night. The food was great, the WiFi solid, and the river setting very pretty. Excellent value, whether you’re there to relax or have an adventure.

We stayed one night in an equipped tent, with plenty of room and a comfortable bed. The surroundings were beautiful, and we enjoyed seeing all the birds on the property. Its location close to the Ishasha sector entrance made it a convenient base for exploring that part of the national park. The welcome was very friendly, and the team looked after us attentively throughout. Just before we left, our car wouldn’t start. They helped right away and arranged for a mechanic to get it running again. Thanks to Alexander and his team, we had a great time.

We ended up staying at Pride Lodge after spotting it down in the valley from the road. It looked like something from a fairy tale, so the four of us on motorbikes decided to take a look. The manager was very pleasant to meet, and the rooms were beautiful, spotless, and top notch. We had a lovely hot shower in a beautiful bathroom, and could look straight into the bush from our balcony. Some elephants visited during the night. There was cold beer, nice wine, and an excellent dinner. A wonderful place to visit. Good luck to you guys!
