Breakfast on the deck was a real highlight. We watched elephants walk by close up while we sipped our coffee, which felt so special. The staff made us feel at home and comfortable from the moment we arrived. Thank you to Martha, Innocent, Doreen, and everyone else for being so kind and caring, and for spending Christmas with us and making it memorable. We had a wonderful stay and I’d highly recommend it.

We had a lovely time at Pumba Safari Cottages, where Martha, Doreen, Emily, Dennis, and the rest of the staff made us feel so welcome and well looked after. The views were amazing and the food was delicious. We also enjoyed walking around the community with Emily, seeing the cocoa and vanilla plants, the local village, and beautiful views of the lake. The place is right in nature, so you have to be okay sharing the space, including your room, with insects and other wildlife 😅.

The terrace has a clear view of the sunset over the NP, and with no light pollution on the horizon, the stars show up beautifully. We saw vervets, baboons, and birds around. The cottages are cute, clean, and comfortable, dinner was really tasty, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and kind.

Emily’s walk around the village plantations was the highlight for us. She showed us the coffee, cocoa, and vanilla growing there. We had a lovely stay, and were sorry to leave after just one night to carry on travelling. I’d highly recommend a visit.

We watched elephants in the distance over breakfast, then saw monkeys before dinner. The food was tasty every time, and the staff were so welcoming and nice.
