If you're arriving by car, go anywhere else. The parking situation is a complete disaster. For years the hotel has prioritized park and fly deals, so the car park is constantly full, even when the hotel itself isn't. Actual guests end up parking on nearby grass or pavements, and the local council issues expensive fines. They apparently do late-night rounds and ticket dozens of illegally parked cars. When the hotel first opened, parking was fine. Since then, the business has chosen to sell all its spaces to people going away long term, such as offshore workers. Saying there's no parking is a complete lie. There is a car park, but the hotel has chosen to give those spaces to non-guests for park and fly revenue instead of its own guests.

It's my second stay here. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is good and served early enough for people heading offshore, and the staff are very nice. Ana helped me today and really showed what good customer care looks like. A shuttle into town and to the airport would be great.

The front desk staff gave us a friendly, informative welcome. The rooms were nice enough, and the hotel seemed quiet even though it looked busy. We didn't have a car, which was probably just as well since parking might have been a problem.

After a 16-hour travel day, we reached the Hampton beside Aberdeen airport at 11:00 am. To our surprise, our room was already ready even though official check-in wasn't until 3:00 pm. The staff member on duty greeted us with a smile and got us settled. We were returning in a couple of weeks at the end of our Scottish holiday before flying home, and we actually looked forward to staying here again. Airport hotels often have limited amenities and low overall quality, so we weren't expecting much. This one was a pleasant surprise. The location is excellent, less than a mile from the airport and the car rental center. Our room was small and practical, apparently an upgrade because of our Diamond status, but spotlessly clean and well equipped. There were plenty of places to charge our devices, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had strong water pressure and large fluffy towels. The staff really made us feel welcome. Everyone we met was friendly, professional and helpful, though I wish I'd gotten their names. The dining room serves food from noon until 10:00 pm. The menu is basic and limited, and you order by phone, but the pizza we had for lunch was very good and cooked perfectly. Continental breakfast started at 6:30, with a full hot breakfast at 7:30 am. Times are earlier during the week, so check. Both breakfasts were excellent, with lots of variety, and among the better Hampton breakfast buffets we've had.
