We ate in the restaurant, and the evening meal was excellent. Breakfast was excellent too, with so much choice you won't need lunch afterwards. The room was spotless, very well furnished, and really spacious, as was the bathroom. The bed was firm and very comfortable, and there was a great bath, a shower, and plenty of hot water. We stopped at the Oaks Hotel overnight on our way home from Scotland in mid-January, out of season, and got exceptional value. We'd certainly use the hotel again.

Our dog Cassie was made very welcome by all the lovely staff, who enjoyed fussing over her. We had a comfortable two-night stay in a large, well-equipped, cozy room, using this dog-friendly hotel as a base to explore the wider area. We ate in the bar both nights and had no complaints about the food. Breakfast was plentiful, with a good choice for everyone. This was our third stay at the Oaks Hotel, and we'll definitely be back soon.

The restaurant and pub looked stunning with the Christmas decorations, and the staff were so helpful and friendly, even while working over Christmas and Christmas Eve. The food was proper food and absolutely delicious, which surprised me for a hotel that's part of an inns group. Our room was clean, modern, cozy, and everything worked as expected. It's dog friendly, too. If you don't need your room cleaned, you can skip it and get a free drink at the bar. It's a bit out of the way if you don't have your own car, but all in all it's an excellent spot.

We had such a good time in the private dining area. The chicken supreme was absolutely delicious, and everyone else in our party said their meals were beautiful too. The staff were lovely and friendly. We'll definitely come back, and I'd highly recommend this place.

The room was spot on for our dog, very clean, with a comfy bed and bedding, plus coffee and biscuits. We booked the dinner, bed and breakfast offer. Dinner was excellent, and we couldn't fault the quality. Breakfast was very good too. We stayed one night and would definitely book again when we're in Alnwick. It's within walking distance of the town centre, and there's parking on site.
