Keef Halla Country House

I was genuinely scared and humiliated during my stay at this small B&B near Belfast International. It was basically empty, and I was the only guest, but the owner and his wife both shouted at me aggressively. I had to stay because my flight was the next day, and at night I put a chair in front of my room door because I was afraid they might come in. I’ve never felt so unsafe, intimidated or disrespected in accommodation before, and I absolutely do not recommend staying here under any circumstances. From the start, the owners behaved aggressively and hostilely toward me and my guest. My friend visited during the day and went outside a few times to smoke, nothing else. Each time, they watched her and verbally attacked her with inappropriate comments. It felt obsessive and controlling. Later, her husband briefly came by with their small child so she could say hello. The owners accused us of “suspicious behavior,” shouted that I couldn’t have anyone in my room, accused us of “doing hair,” and repeatedly said I couldn’t use their water. I’d paid for the room, so that was absurd. I’d never said my friend would stay overnight. She was only visiting, but they treated us like criminals. They took my room keys away, leaving me without access, and kicked my friend out, literally throwing her out despite her having done nothing wrong. At one point they locked the hotel door when she went outside to smoke, so she couldn’t get back in. They cook food for guests but refused to cook for me. I am Black and my friend is Gypsy, and the way we were targeted, monitored and accused strongly made me feel this treatment was racially motivated and discriminatory. This place isn’t safe, professional, or respectful of guests’ basic rights.

The bedroom was super clean and comfy, and the place is near the airport too. Such a nice place to stay. I highly recommend it!

It’s only about a five-minute drive from Belfast International Airport. The host was lovely and welcoming, even though we checked in late, and explained everything clearly. The place was clean, with a large, soft, comfortable bed. It was fully equipped with amenities, including tea, coffee and snacks. Highly recommended!

The location is ideal for visiting Northern Ireland, about 10 minutes from the airport and 25 minutes from Belfast city centre. The room was spotless, well equipped and very spacious. My sister and brother-in-law agreed. Charles and his team were attentive, knew the best places to visit and eat, and nothing was too much trouble. We’d gladly recommend this country house.
