The breakfast was just what we needed before a day of travel, and sharing the table with another couple was a lovely way to meet them. My husband and I had a great one-night anniversary stay at Daviot House. Check-in and checkout were friendly, and our room and private bathroom were clean and well appointed. The in-room notebook had useful dinner suggestions, so we walked to The Bistro for a delicious meal. Afterwards, we headed to the seashore for a short walk along the beach. We really enjoyed our brief time in Ayr and the hospitality. Thank you!

The owner clearly takes pride in offering a high standard of service, and the location is ideal. Our bedroom and shower room had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent, better than at some expensive hotels we've stayed in. A first class guest house, and we'll return.

The Scottish themed pictures are cute, and I loved that the owners share a variety of books they've read with guests. Linda puts a lot of heart into making people feel welcome, and the place is immaculate and friendly. You can walk to the beach, restaurants, shops and main street, and it's manageable from the station with light luggage. I'm sure there's also a bus stop not far away if needed. The breakfast is yummy. I'd recommend this guest house, even though part of me wants to keep it quiet so I can still book next time without being priced out or finding it full.

Linda was so helpful when I arrived tired and soaked, especially since I had my little dog with me. The room was clean and cozy, with everything you need and nice toiletries in the bathroom. I had to leave early, so I missed breakfast, but I'm sure it was great. I'll definitely return and try it next time x

The rooms were spotless, the welcome from Lynn was lovely, and the breakfast was great. Service was 100 per cent, and nothing was a problem for the owner. Daviot guess house is only a couple of minutes' walk from the beach. I'd highly recommend it. Thanks, Lynn, see you next year x
