The Lismore

The room was just about worth the £75 we paid for the night, and the bed was fairly comfortable. The location was good, and the receptionist was warm and friendly, though often absent from the desk. There was a strong cigarette smell in our room, like someone had just smoked in it. It gave me a headache, so I asked to move rooms. The receptionist sprayed air freshener and opened the window instead. We were on a main road, so passing cars woke us now and then, and the mini fridge made a noise every hour that kept waking me too.

The building looked amazing when I arrived, and I was welcomed warmly and shown to my room with an explanation of where everything was. I’m really impressed. I even have my own fridge for my oat milk. This hotel is worth every pound for the accommodation and deserves at least five stars. I will definitely be back.

The staff were cheerful and the service was good. The rooms are comfortable, there’s plenty of tea and coffee, and it’s an easy walk into the town centre. Really, that’s all you need.

Handy for Banbury centre, with warm rooms, great staff and parking off the road at the back. I’d highly recommend it as a budget hotel. Regards, Ulick ( Robin Hood gaming )
