At Saffron Gardens Indian Restaurant, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Portions were generous, and the service paced the meal nicely without rushing us between courses. Can't wait to go back.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good, with just the right portion size, and the staff were friendly and attentive. There’s a lovely outdoor balcony where we enjoyed eating in the Scottish sunshine.

There's a good choice on the menu, and we came for dinner and drinks after having drinks there on a previous night. We chose the Sunday roast, which was incredible, one of the best I've ever had. Everything on the plate was spot on, and the gravy was amazing. The Cullen skink is delicious too and worth ordering. Service was friendly and prompt, and the prices were great, under £10 for a gin and a pint. We'll definitely be back.

The bar and restaurant were modern, and there was a lovely decking area outside. But apart from breakfast, no food was being served, and the bar closed at 7pm. The bottle of prosecco we bought was very expensive compared with other places. Breakfast started at 9am, with two staff serving. One was friendly and welcoming, while the other seemed as if she didn't want to be there. She wasn't welcoming or friendly, and we felt like an inconvenience. When I asked for brown bread for toast, she said they only had white. There's a Coop across the road, where I'm sure she could have bought brown bread. Her colleague was much more helpful and friendly. The bedroom entrance had dated stairs and old carpets. Our room was small and needed an upgrade, though clean enough. It was a hot day, and the window only opened a little, so the room was too warm and the night uncomfortable. I wouldn't return.

The food was a real highlight. We shared a couple of platters to start, then had medium-rare ribeye, all cooked well and reasonably priced. The merlot was nice too. It’s a good spot for a Saturday afternoon or evening, and families and dogs are welcome. There’s a public bar with pool, big screens and darts, plus a nicely done lounge and dining area. Good beer selection, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
