Premier Inn Bangor - Gwynedd North Wales

The room was too hot in early September, though it got better as the outdoor temperature fell on our last morning. The decor’s a little shabby, but the mattress was especially comfortable. Wifi was a bit slow, though I think workmen were trying to improve it. Breakfast was brilliant, and the staff were too, but they seemed overworked and were looking to recruit more people. Be patient, as you might not get what you ordered.

We came with our family for Halloween weekend and found the hotel cozy and charming. The room was very clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Staff were really friendly, and the little gift was a lovely idea. The children were thrilled. Highly recommended!

We stayed during Storm Amy, and the staff were welcoming and willing to accommodate us even though we arrived a bit early to get ahead of the storm. The room was clean and perfectly acceptable. We took the food deal at the pub and restaurant on site, and the food was very good. There was a slight mix-up with the bill, but the bigger issue was the wait: 45 minutes for food, with only four other tables occupied.

The receptionist was polite and friendly, probably the only good part of the visit. Check-in went fine, but the room was bog standard and smelled greasy and strange. We had one thin pillow each, sheets that were marked and didn’t fit, and hairs everywhere. The towels were only enough for one person. There wasn’t any toilet tissue, so at 11pm we had to go out and buy some. Breakfast at the ‘cough’ restaurant was a complete shambles: no food, no clean bowls, plates or cutlery. We left, checked out, and found breakfast elsewhere after getting a refund for it. The hotel needs work and needs to get the basics right; the restaurant needs a massive reset and retraining. Put me off for life, to be honest.
