We got great service during our two-night stay. Dal at the front desk was very informative and happy to answer questions. Derek, who I believe was the manager, made check-in easy and helped us with our bags. Molly was great at the bar, too. The drinks came quickly and were good, and she makes a lovely espresso martini.

Breakfast was good, especially for an express hotel, and the lady working this morning was lovely. The room was clean and spacious, the bed very comfortable, and check-in went smoothly. We stayed last night for an event at the town hall directly opposite. The hotel car park was full, but there’s a huge pay-and-display car park across the road that was free from 6pm and all day Sunday. No complaints, I’d definitely recommend it. It’s the nicest Holiday Inn I’ve stayed in.

Everything was ready when our coach group arrived for our one-night stay, including the rooms and keys. The hotel is nicely decorated, clean and easy to find your way around, and the staff are lovely and friendly. Our twin room was spotless and had everything we needed. Breakfast was a well-presented buffet, and we couldn’t fault the three-course evening meal. I’d happily return and highly recommend it.

The rooms were clean and nicely presented, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was amazing, and they even let you pack some to take away for lunch. Just remember parking costs £2.50 per day.

The hotel is right in the centre, with pubs only a few minutes away. We went to The Kings just round the corner, a busy pub with very reasonable prices. The rooms were lovely and clean, the beds comfortable, and there were tea and coffee facilities and toiletries. We stayed one night on a coach trip with friends, and the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Dinner was lovely: soup and a roll to start, delicious steak pie with lots of filling, then chocolate fudge cake. Breakfast was self-service with plenty of choice. Loved our stay.
