Audleys Wood Hotel

There was a wedding on the night I stayed, but it was so well organised that I didn’t notice any noise. The hotel is clearly popular for weddings. Breakfast offered a good range of hot and cold dishes, with excellent, friendly service, and dinner was tasty and beautifully presented. There’s a good wine selection too. My room was very comfortable and spotless. The public rooms are nicely presented and respect the building’s Victorian heritage. I appreciated the good tea and coffee, free mineral water, proper milk in the fridge, and decent toiletries. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The only part that felt tired was the bathroom, which could do with an update to match the rest of the room. A great place for a night or a few days.

We used a gift voucher for afternoon tea and a cocktail, and had a lovely time. Everyone was welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. When we asked about the building’s age, one of the staff gave us such a fascinating account of its history. We’ll be back soon. Thank you.

We hired a room for a birthday meal, and it was laid out and presented beautifully. The staff did a great job looking after everyone’s needs. Darren was especially good, serving our evening meal and then again at breakfast with five-star service. A really well-rounded stay.

The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of wildlife, and the history of Audleys Wood Hotel is fantastic. The food is nice, though food and drinks are expensive. The staff were very helpful, especially Gary, who was funny and had a five-star attitude. The room staff were trustworthy and kept everything clean and topped up when needed. A very pleasant stay in a lovely place.
