The staff were brilliant and very attentive, and the fresh fruit at breakfast was really nice. The rest of breakfast wasn't worth paying for in my view: the bacon, black pudding, and sausages were all overcooked. Our room was okay, though a bit dusty. Fine for a couple of nights.

I usually find Premier Inn dependable and good value, but this one fell well short of what I expect from the brand. The hotel feels worn and neglected throughout, and looks very dated from the moment you enter. It needs a full refurbishment. I wouldn't recommend staying until that work has been done.

The room was spacious and check-in went smoothly, but we barely slept. The mattress sagged and was painfully uncomfortable, and the bulky, brick-hard pillows meant neither of us got proper rest. The room was dusty too, and within an hour we both had blocked noses. After checking out early, a bird happened to drop on me just as I stepped outside. I went back in and politely asked to use the room we'd only just left so I could clean up. The staff refused outright and even laughed. That felt shocking after such a bad night. We wouldn't stay again.

We booked a Premier Plus room and found it clean and comfortable. But the fridge was warm, and the TV remote didn't work, so changing channels meant getting up to press the buttons on the side. There were only a few channels anyway. We had two bath towels but just one small hand towel between us. At breakfast we told reception about the fridge and TV. The response was, 'If I can find a maintenance man at all, I'll report it.' There was no apology, and the receptionist seemed not to care. By 6pm, maintenance still hadn't come, so we assumed he was uncontactable. The meal deal dinner menu also offered very little choice. We arrived on 9/12/2025, are staying one more night, and head back on 11/12/2025. When we checked in, the receptionist kept her head down at the computer for several minutes and ignored us until she was ready. We visit Bath about five or six times a year and have always stayed at Travelodge, where the customer service has been excellent. We'll go back there next time.

The young reception staff were pleasant, and the location is very good. The bed was acceptable and the hot water piping hot. Still, both rooms had serious problems. Room 101, the standard room, was dark and damp and smelled of chemicals. It seemed like a last-resort room, and the bed was the only decent thing about it. Room 324, supposedly a Premier Plus, was extremely dusty, dirty, and shabby, with awful wall artwork. Its air conditioning and WiFi didn't work, and the TV had to be retuned constantly to get the limited Freeview channels. There was a visible brown, mucus-like blob living in the plughole. The bathroom extractor didn't seem to work for long, so the room became hot, steamy, and slippery, with no grab rails. Bin lorries also wake you very early. I'd keep expectations low and wouldn't recommend staying more than two nights, as the place starts to feel grimy.
