The food was a revelation, and Kirsty (the chef) is a genius. We also loved hearing the stories and learned loads about pantomime history. We had such a wonderful Christmas experience at The Downright Gabbler's pantomime themed evening meal, and this was our first visit but definitely won't be our last. I'd highly recommend it for anyone after a great food and storytelling experience. Looking forward to returning.

The warm, cosy atmosphere made the evening feel personal and relaxed. Gary shared stories and bits of history, which made the meal more enjoyable. Kirsty's food was amazing, and every course was delicious. The crème brûlée especially was a standout, I'll be thinking about it for the rest of my life lol! Such a lovely way to celebrate my 30th birthday with friends and family. The whole night felt intimate and special. Thank you so much, everyone!

The included drinks were fabulous, and the mulled gin was like a warm, spicy hug to welcome us. The food was exceptionally good and memorable, as always, though I can't say what we ate without giving too much away to future guests. Its a right pantomime was entertaining and informative, and everything felt perfect. The price was surprisingly good value for what we enjoyed. We had an amazing night at the Downright gabbler and can't wait to come back. Thanks for a fabulous evening.

Kirsty's dishes were a feast for the eyes and the palate, creative, perfectly cooked, and delicious. You could see the love, passion, and skill behind every detail. Yla's service was just as impressive, warm and attentive while keeping things relaxed. That professional but genuinely down-to-earth hospitality made the evening special. On 27th September, this was a wonderful finish to the very happy day celebrating my niece Pauline and Jenny's wedding dinner at The Downright Gabbler in Beauly. A restaurant with heart and soul, and exceptional taste. Highly recommended, and I'm looking forward to returning when I'm back in Beauly on holiday next year.

Gary is such a knowledgeable storyteller. We had a lovely evening learning about the history of Scottish whiskey, and the food was amazing too. Kudos to the chef. I highly recommend the experience when you're in Inverness.
