The Bulkeley Hotel

Breakfast was a little disappointing in places, as several things, including the black pudding, eggs, and fried bread, were sitting in oil. There was plenty to eat, though, and the bacon and sausage were good quality. The staff were very friendly, and the room was a really good size with a clear view of the Menai Straights. It’s a grand old place, and I’d definitely visit again.

We’ve had a wonderful three-night stay at the end of September this year and last year. This year our room was large and comfortable, with a stunning view of the coast and mountains. The hotel’s Victorian character is lovely, and the location is beautiful. Breakfast was great, with a vast choice and quick service. The staff were friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Julia, Danielle, and Paul at reception for being so professional, helpful, and friendly, and to Holly and Linda in the restaurant. They were all so kind and went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Can’t wait to come back.

We’d just spent a wonderful, relaxing long weekend at the Bulkeley Hotel. It has loads of character and charm, and it’s one of the best dog-friendly hotels we’ve stayed in. Our basic inland room suited our needs well, with a large bathroom and plenty of storage. Every member of staff we met was friendly and helpful. The food was lovely too, and we’ll definitely return!

We went for Christmas with my husband and our two dogs. I’d never been away for Christmas before and wasn’t expecting much, but the room was beautiful and the food was amazing. Christmas Day dinner was lovely, and the waitress, I think her name was Holly, was so attentive. Linda looked after us at breakfast and was lovely too. Every staff member was happy to help with anything. The berkeley, you blew us away. We loved every minute of our break and will definitely come back. Such a special place.
