Swan House

We’d been turned away elsewhere while looking for a dog-friendly lunch spot, then stumbled across this place and were welcomed straight in. The pub is cosy and immaculate. We had soup followed by the meat board, and it was tasty and filling. Would recommend.

We booked the Eln room as a stopover while my partner was completing the Wolf Way bike route, and it turned out to be one of the loveliest rooms we’ve stayed in. The bed was so comfortable, the wet room was huge, and the tea and coffee facilities were great. Thanks for such a good night’s stay. We’ll try to come back for another night away soon.

We were visiting Beccles and stopped at this lovely pub/hotel for lunch and drinks. They let us bring our Border Collie inside too, and the staff were very friendly.

The seafood platter was truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had, absolutely superb. I’d already been drawn in by the food and service reviews for Swan House, and they still don’t do justice to how good it was. The lunch menu isn’t huge, but there are good choices. The two lovely ladies running the bar and kitchen were so friendly and welcoming. The property has loads of character, tasteful decor and a really nice feel. We were visiting Beccles on holiday and checked online for lunch options in the town centre. I’ve already told family who holiday nearby to make a point of eating here, and I’ll return next time I’m in the area.
