The food came out really quickly and was lovely. The service made just as much of an impression, the manager and both staff on shift were amazing and made us feel completely welcome. Such a little pub gem. We’ll be back!

The steak pie and Eton Mess were standouts, and the prices were very reasonable. We stayed for one night on 24th Jan 26. Our room was clean and nice, with a quirky feel; the floor squeaked, though that’s understandable in a pub this old. From check-in right through to check-out, the staff were brilliant, friendly, and keen to help with anything. I’d happily stay here again when I’m in the area.

Yesterday evening John and his colleagues gave us a particularly warm welcome. The Woolpack has always been good for us, with lovely Sunday lunches and evening dinners, good food, and excellent service. Thanks, and see you all again soon.

We were away for a long weekend and this was our first visit to the pub. John made it a lovely time, he’s a legend, so welcoming and helpful, and great to chat with. Even the dog got treats. The food was faultless and the place had a friendly vibe. We can’t wait to come back, it’ll definitely be our go-to pub around here. Thanks again, John. Simeon,Chanelle & Marley. 🐾😊

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. I had the pleasure of spending 12 perfect nights at the Woolpack, with fantastic food and drinks. I’d recommend it to anyone!
