The animals were a big bonus. Dogs are welcome, and there are chickens, ducks and three alpacas. Sheep and cows in a neighbouring field made it relaxing to see and hear them. The views were good too. Outside our pod were two garden chairs, a beer garden table, an oil barrel with a metal top for BBQ trays, and a fire pit. They supplied everything needed to make a fire and barbecue, plus a little bug spray. We stayed in 'woody', the furthest pod away. That suited us well, since nobody came near or crossed in front of us. The pod is a little smaller than others we’ve tried, but it was fine. Inside there’s a double bed with plugs and a shelf on each side, a small three-drawer chest, a little table with two chairs, a tiny TV, lots of blankets, hot water bottles, an electric fire and two dressing gowns. A communal kitchen has a table for four, two fridge freezers, two sofas, and loads of utensils, crockery and cookware. There are board games and a darts board if you’re bored. They even stock snacks for being in the middle of nowhere, including pasta, sauces and noodles, as well as chocolate and canned drinks. The small welcome pack varies: ours had two thermal cups and biscuits, while others had continental breakfasts. Wheelbarrows are provided for carrying your things from the car, and the owner gave us a quick tour after one of the owners welcomed us on arrival. The toilet block was clean and tidy, with two loos and two excellent showers. I’d give it four out of five stars, or 7/10. Thicker, fuller pillows would improve things, and the toilet motion lights could stay on longer. It’s no fun when they go dark mid-business call. The owner was lovely and attentive, perhaps a fraction too attentive for my taste, but she hasn’t put us off coming back. Plates and cutlery in the pods would also be handy instead of having to get them from the kitchen. Otherwise, I’m looking forward to returning and would recommend a weekend away here. If the pods are booked, ask about the guest house.

Claire gave us terrific hospitality during our lovely weekend away. We’ll be back as soon as we can. The facilities were all great, and the alpacas and hens brought us plenty of joy.

The views were the first thing that caught us when we arrived at Llwyn Onn Guest House and Glamping. Watching the sun set behind the Snowdonia mountains was breathtaking, a real highlight of our trip. Claire, the host, is so attentive and has put real thought into making guests comfortable. We stayed in a glamping pod and loved the comfy bed and how well equipped it was. The electric heater warmed it up in about five minutes, so it got cosy quickly. We booked directly and received a complimentary breakfast hamper, which was generous and excellent quality. It had cereal, tinned beans and tomatoes, fresh local sausages, bacon, and eggs laid on site. A perfect start to the day. The shared kitchen and lounge have everything you need, plus snacks available through an honesty box. A pack of logs and kindling for the fire pit or wood burner was included in the price, and more was available in the kitchen for a small fee. Claire also provides thoughtful extras like marshmallows for roasting, handy bug spray and readily available hand sanitiser. Those little touches helped us feel welcome and cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay. It was relaxing, the scenery was stunning, and the hosting was wonderful. We’d highly recommend Llwyn Onn to anyone looking for that kind of getaway, and we’re already thinking about coming back!

The location was beautiful, though a little farther out than we expected. It’s a 10-minute walk to a good pub and a 15-minute drive to a lovely restaurant. The host was welcoming and helpful, and everything we could need was provided, including robes and bath mats for the showers. Breakfast was delicious, and came with everything needed to cook it ourselves. Fabulous stay, and we’ll definitely come back if we’re in the area.

My pod had such a peaceful, relaxing view, exactly what I wanted after a long day hiking. The surroundings feel magical, and the alpacas are so cool, especially since one has the same name as my dog. The owner was super friendly and helpful, and there are lots of beautiful animals. This is the best camping pod I’ve stayed in, and I’ve tried a few. It’s cosy and has everything you need, including a super comfortable bed, TV and sofa. The large shared kitchen is fully equipped, and the toilets and showers are the cleanest I’ve seen. They even provide a hairdryer and hair straightener. I wish I’d booked more of my holiday here. Thanks, I’ll definitely come back if I visit this beautiful part of Wales again.
