Our guests kept saying how beautiful the setting was, and how smoothly everything ran. The venue was stunning, and every space felt welcoming and well cared for. From the moment we arrived on our wedding morning, the team at Downham Hall looked after us so well. They were friendly and attentive, handled every detail, and made the day feel effortless. The food was amazing and the service flawless. Everything felt thoughtful and personal, and we never had to worry about a thing. We’re so grateful they helped make such an important day magical and unforgettable. We couldn’t have picked a better place, and I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful venue with a fantastic team.

The celebration came together beautifully, and our family will cherish it for years. Downham Hall was delightful, and the team did a lovely job setting it up for our daughter’s 21st birthday on Saturday, 11th January 2026. Sarah made the planning stress-free from our very first enquiry. She carefully talked us through the options, gave thoughtful advice, and never tried to upsell us. On the night, the hosts kept us informed at each stage and dealt with last-minute changes easily and gracefully. We wholeheartedly recommend Downham Hall for events. The team’s warmth and professionalism make it a real gem.

The views are spectacular, and the grounds are beautiful. My family were impressed by the venue and everyone’s hospitality when we celebrated my 70th Birthday at Downham hall. The staff were excellent and our gorgeous three-course meal was a real highlight. I’d happily recommend the place. I’d visit for afternoon tea or Sunday lunch, and anyone thinking of getting married should consider it for their special day. Thank you for making my birthday perfect. I got to relax and enjoy our wedding because I knew the whole team had everything covered. We had 60 day guests and a few more joining us in the evening at gorgeous Downham Hall on 6th Sept, and the day ran so smoothly. Debra and I had our first proper conversation to finalise things just a few days before my hen do. It immediately lifted all my worries about the practical details. She had the whole plan, stayed until after the evening food, and the bridal party knew who to go to. My husband and I didn’t need to think about anything beyond the personal touches that made the day ours. Natalie from TJ Designs who works with DH arranged the marquee so beautifully with what we provided, adding her professional touch. There are SO many lovely places for photos, even though the space might look small at first. Our photographer had a field day, and we didn’t even cover all the grounds. They’re kept beautifully throughout the year, so you get the best of the season. I couldn’t have asked for lovelier people to share the day with. Thank you so much!!
