Park Inn by Radisson Birmingham Walsall

The staff were excellent, really friendly and helpful. The bar was decent, though I wouldn’t order the food again. It was poor quality and everything tasted of oil. The room was cold, and the old, lumpy bed didn’t help. They’d put a small oil heater in there, but it didn’t do the job. It’s a handy motorway hotel for getting your head down and leaving the next day. A solid three-star place, so don’t expect more. My room had a connecting door, which I understand is useful for families. I asked if it could be locked and was told to just not open it, LOL. It only opened from one side, so I get that the other person couldn’t come through, but I’d still have felt more secure if it had been locked.

Room #241. I want to thank the team at Park Inn by Radisson, especially Steph, SK, Harpreet, Jamie and Adam, for going above and beyond and making my stay memorable. SK deserves a special mention for the food, and thanks to Steph for suggesting the “BEEF MADRAS.” It was full of flavour, and the brownie with ice cream was the perfect finish. I’d highly recommend trying both. You can tell this team cares, and it makes all the difference.

The room was clean, and we had a wonderful stay. The lady at reception gave us a lovely welcome, and the team were supportive and helpful, especially Harpreet. You made our stay worthwhile. Keep up the good work.

Our room was very nice, but the bathroom floor became horribly slippery when wet, and I almost fell getting into the shower. At checkout, Mark walked up and asked if we were leaving. When we said yes, he snatched the card from my hand and walked off, without asking how the stay was or even giving a polite smile. He alone completely ruined the stay. He was rude and arrogant. We arrived 20 minutes early and Marc rudely told us we couldn’t check in until 3pm. When my husband asked what we could do until then, Mark just glared at him as if we were trash. We decided to get a drink and wait. The beer tasted like barrel wash, as my husband put it, and the pork scratchings were very stale. The young lad and brunette woman working at the bar were both lovely and friendly, unlike Marc.
