Hampton by Hilton Blackpool

We really enjoyed our stay and the city. The people were amazing, the nightlife was fantastic, and the street lighting design was extraordinary, with surprises. The hotel was in the best location, a walkable distance from the nearest tram station and close to the globe with lighting, which is worth visiting at night. The building was clean and had brand new stuff. Our room was calm and quiet with a sea view. Staff were helpful and people were nice. The carpet and some parts of the bed were a bit dirty, but with families and children on holiday, that seems reasonable and normal to expect. There wasn’t a small fridge in the room either. Breakfast and waffles were included and good, with service from early in the morning. The coffee has never been good in Hampton.

I use this hotel for business in Blackpool. The rooms are clean and up to a good standard, with no issues, and the place still feels fresh as it’s quite new. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I’ve only marked down the service because the app’s online check-in and digital key features have stopped working. I often check in late and leave early, so those features make things easier for me.

I’m here every month, and the rooms are always very clean. This time I tried the evening meal and was disappointed: I ordered chicken curry with thick-cut chips but got chicken dippers with fries, plus a sauce that neither looked nor tasted like curry. Breakfast, on the other hand, was really nice and the service was good.

The location is good, and the hotel was clean, so I’d stay again. Our sea-view room was okay, but one bed was comfortable and the other was rock solid. The restaurant food wasn’t great. One night we both ordered toasties, and only one slice of bread had been toasted. I’d avoid the restaurant. Breakfast was fine.
