The New Osterley Hotel

We were glad our stay was only for one night. The price felt far too high for what we got: a very dated, basic room, and a kettle lead that couldn't reach the sockets. The man at reception wasn't helpful, and when I grabbed the handrail coming in from the street, it came off in my hand. The location behind the main shopping centre was good.

We paid £44 for a double room in August, and for that price the location was good. The front desk guy was friendly and helpful, and the beds were clean and really comfortable. The bathroom was spotless too. I'd read the reviews before booking and expected to check straight back out, but the room was basic, fresh-smelling and very clean. I understand new owners have taken over and are refurbishing the rooms gradually. Seems like a work in progress, with improvements being made. Thanks for a pleasant stay.

The broken TV, missing bit of floor and leaking tap were there, but I know the hotel is being refurbished and they didn't spoil our stay. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable and we each had two big, comfy pillows. The man at reception was helpful. My friend and I came from Manchester, and with the good price we'd definitely stay again.

The rooms were a good size and suited what we needed, and the bar and pool table stayed open until just before checkout. That meant I can't say how comfortable the beds were. We'd been messed about by another B&B and booked this place at the last minute without knowing what to expect. The man on reception was welcoming and accommodating, and he sorted out an issue very quickly. Good location and service, and good value for the price.
