Boston is beautiful, and being there with Mum meant a lot. She was born there and had always dreamed of staying at the White Hart. She felt it lived up to her expectations, and we both loved our visit. The meals were very nice, and the passion fruit martini was the best in England. We were grateful for the care and help from Mickey, Magda, Gabby and Emma, as well as the gentleman serving breakfast. The hotel is clearly popular and has lots going on, including, I believe, jiving on Friday nights. It's incredibly central. Mum used to walk down Emery Lane with Nanna to see her great aunts, who lived down Dolphin land next to the Freemasons’ building. She also worked as a waitress at Tate’s. It was lovely to retrace those childhood steps with her. Frampton Marsh and Frampton village are well worth a visit, and Boston Stump is stunning ❤️

It's a three-star quality hotel, but the experience was 10/10. We've stayed twice in six months, which is unusual for us, and would recommend it. Bombay Brasserie, an excellent Indian restaurant, might have helped make up our minds! The hotel is right in the heart of town, with free parking, a ground-floor bar and restaurant, and very friendly, accommodating staff. It's exceptionally clean, thanks to a great housekeeping team. The dog-friendly rooms come with a bowl, treats, a toy and poo bags. Breakfast is good, though pricey for the area. The car park is a gravel patch beside a walkway. I'd like to see it lit and perhaps secured with a barrier or chain for guests. On some Saturdays there's a market in the town square, two minutes away, where you can get a bacon butty and tea. There's also a weatherspoons across the road for breakfast.

We come up every December to stay here because our family lives in Boston. The rooms are spacious and warm, and the food is great. Staff are so friendly and do everything they can for you. This year we stayed in the pilgrim suite, and it was worth every penny. The location is ideal for shopping.

We were in a double room on saturday 25th october for a play at the lovely blackfriars theatre. The welcome was warm, and our room looked out over the river. A lamp was already on, and classic fm was playing softly on the radio when we came in, a lovely touch. The room was spacious and spotless, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It's a great base for seeing the charming architecture and st. Botolphs church. We'll definitely visit again. Thank you all.

We visited The White Hart in Boston for the festive menu, and the meal fell well below what I'd expected for the price and the establishment's reputation. After we were seated, nobody attended to us for about ten minutes, so we had to get our own menus. When a waitress eventually came over, I ordered the Christmas-themed sangria for £9.50. It came in a wine glass full of ice and tasted as if there was no alcohol in it. Ordering was confusing too. She seemed to think we'd pre-ordered, although we were the only diners there, and said everyone had to choose the festive menu, a condition we couldn't find stated anywhere. After some discussion, she agreed one person in our group could order from the main menu. Three of us chose a starter and main from the festive menu, while the fourth ordered only a main. The waitress asked whether we wanted our starters first, which left us baffled. At least the starters were enjoyable and came promptly. The mains were disappointing. The main-menu fish and chips came in small or large sizes, with large costing £17.50. The portion was so small I had to ask the waitress to confirm it really was the large. I dread to think what the small one would have looked like. The festive turkey was poor value as well. For £27 for two courses, the main was three small slices of turkey, two Brussels sprouts, a very small sliver each of carrot and parsnip, a tiny amount of what might have been kale, two thin leek slices, two pigs in blankets, a rubbery disc of stuffing and two roast potatoes. There was nowhere near enough red wine jus. I put the starter at about £7 and the main at about £20, but even at those prices the quality and portions didn't seem right. Service felt lacking and in need of more training. When we asked for the bill, the waitress launched into a long, very fast speech about split payments, paying at the bar, bringing the card machine and the optional 10% service charge. She rattled through it so quickly I couldn't answer her questions, and the whole thing felt rushed and unnecessary. I went to the bar to pay and asked for the charge to be removed. The card machine still showed the original amount, so I had to repeat my request before they issued a corrected bill. It was frustrating and avoidable. For a festive menu with a set price, I expected the portions and service to match the price and description. Sadly, they didn't.
