Ibis Styles Bournemouth

I only had a very short stay and couldn’t spend the night, but the staff were amazing and the room was really nice. I checked in, relaxed, went into town, then found out when I came back that I’d booked the wrong date. Someone with exactly the same name had another booking, so I’d been checked in under theirs for the week before my own booking. Silly mistake on my part. The hotel was full and couldn’t move my booking, but even though my Booking.com reservation had a no-refund policy, they gave me a full refund. I’ll be back next time I’m in Bournemouth, and I’ll book the right date!

The location was spot on, just a five-minute walk to the beach, and parking was easy. I felt safe leaving the car there. Our family room was big and spacious, with a kitchen that had a microwave, fridge and kettle, plus complimentary tea, coffee and more. Breakfast was included, had a very good selection, and we especially liked the warm pastries. The staff were friendly and helpful. I was really impressed.

I’d seen some awful reviews and wasn’t expecting much, but booked at the last minute for a good price. Check-in was clear, the decor was lovely, everything was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. The room was just the right size, with plenty of clothes hangers and a well-positioned TV. We stayed on a Friday night, which was Halloween, and only heard one person during the night. It was close enough to walk home from the international/winsor hall. I’d definitely stay again if I’m in Bournemouth.

I was visiting for a graduation. The bed was comfortable and the rest of the bedding was clean, but the room itself wasn’t. One pillowcase had what looked like makeup on it, and there were stained carpet and nail clippings. The shower had no pressure. The air conditioning, if that’s what it was, didn’t work either. I woke up to a room temperature of 27 degrees even though I’d set it to 16 twice during the night, so I switched it off and opened the windows.
