The Penthouse Suite was wow, with the building's character balanced so nicely with the modern appliances and decor. The bed was huge and really comfortable. We spent two nights there for our wedding reception, celebrating our lifelong commitment, and it was the best night of our lives. Beforehand, we'd met the Events Planner Muqaddas several times. She was attentive and reassuring, and checked when she wasn't sure instead of making assumptions. We had light bites and drinks in The Avenue Bar, and the waitress who brought them had lovely banter that made the evening even better. The reception team couldn't do enough for us, and I felt like we were the most important people there. The team is fairly new, yet the service was five star. Hope you enjoyed the cakes we left! I can't fault anything. We'll remember our wedding weekend for life, and words can't describe how happy we are. I can't recommend the venue enough. All our love, James & Alex xxx

The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful, and we had everything we needed. Anthony, the Manager, made sure we were comfortable, and Leonie treated us like royalty. We stayed six nights in a twin room while taking care of some business, and it suited us fine. The hotel was quiet, and we had breakfast in our room. Snacks are available from 3pm, and there's a bar. It was a great base, with Bradford Interchange and plenty of shops just minutes away. The location was super for what we needed, and the price was good. Well worth a visit.

We had a pre-booked lunch here a few weeks ago, and it was a pretty awful experience. The building has a great location and must once have been grand, but now it looks tired and needs some love and DIY. The food was dreadful across all the different dishes we tried: overcooked, dry, and without flavour. One dish was fish, and I can't understand how something that lives in water could be that dry. I wouldn't eat here again, even for free. Service was another problem. There seemed to be very few staff, and it was hard to find anyone when we needed something. The staff were pleasant enough, but the whole team seemed new and unsure what to do. When we asked for help, we got a vacant stare, then waited 20 minutes before anyone came back. At one point, someone in our party went to look for staff and couldn't find anyone at all. We didn't stay overnight, so I can't comment on the rooms or the hotel stay. I wouldn't go back even if they paid me.

The location is right in Bradford city centre, with everything just a few minutes' walk away. The building itself is beautiful and full of character, and the stay was quiet and calm. Breakfast was acceptable. Unfortunately, the hotel seems to have gone downhill. The lift has been out of service for some time, which was inconvenient, and my room's heating wasn't working properly. There was also a noticeable cold draft from the window. With some improvements, it could live up to its potential again.

I've stayed here several times and never had any issues. The staff, including the receptionist, are really friendly, and I love my stays even though the hotel is a bit run down. It's very central, with plenty to do for fun and food. The rooms are outdated and need new windows, and the whole building could do with refurbishment. The room pictures on the website should be changed too, as most rooms look nothing like them. The elevator has been out of action for over a year. If you have medical conditions, I'd recommend trying for a first-floor room because the stairs are steep, and it's a long way up depending on which floor you're on.
