Northern Hotel Brechin

We were shaken up after a car accident and had to wait for transport. The Northern Hotel let us come in and rest, and the lovely lady at the front of house called us a taxi and brought refreshments to help calm us down. We didn't stay there, but we're very grateful for her kindness and wanted to share what happened for anyone thinking of visiting or staying. Thank you so much.

The Christmas Day lunch at the northern was amazing, and the staff were lovely from the moment we arrived until we left. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was piping hot when it reached the table, there was no wait, and it was as good as always. Thank you all, and merry xmas xx

The Highland Chicken was so good we ordered it on both of our two nights at the Northern Hotel restaurant. It became our first choice while we were staying in Brechin. The lady running the restaurant was kind and really helpful, and apparently she's a skilled guitar player too.

We were glad this was only a one-night stay. The room smelled awful, the floor was dirty, and there were bugs in the light shade. The shower head was disgusting and not fit for purpose, and the curtains looked like wolverine had stayed the night, ripped to shreds. The room was unclean enough to look as if no cleaner had ever been in. Staff were pretty much nonexistent. This place needs a lot of TLC. We won't be back, and I'd highly recommend looking elsewhere unless you're happy sleeping in such disgusting conditions.
