The Blackhorse Inn is a lovely pub, but I paid £14.50 for a pint of Landlord, a medium red wine and a glass of soda water after visiting the Holiday Inn leisure club today. The same round at the Black Bull in Liversedge was £9.25. Next time we'll drive past and carry on to the Liversedge Black Bull.

We've been here before and stayed again on Valentine's Day night. It was stunning, spotless and really cosy, with nothing else we could have asked for. The hosts were lovely. It's a little gem tucked away, and I'd definitely recommend staying, eating at the restaurant and paying it a visit.

The sticky toffee pudding was nice, though it could have had more sauce. The rest of lunch was a letdown. My roast beef was dry, tough and hard to cut, and the Yorkshire pudding was so hard it felt like it could bounce off a wall. Service took ages even though there weren't many diners when we ordered. My latte was the worst I've ever had, weak and watery with hardly any froth. I'd come for the first time today with friends because my friend who booked it had recommended the place after visiting before. The service itself was acceptable and some parts were good, but I left disappointed.

The buffet tea was excellent, and the room we had was clean, comfortable and airy, with space that worked for everyone in our party. The staff were attentive, efficient and very respectful, and the whole afternoon went really well. Thank you so much to The Black Horse at Clifton for hosting our family and friends after my mum's funeral, and thanks to everyone involved.

Our guests are still talking about how smoothly everything went and how much they liked the venue. We couldn't have asked for a better experience, and I highly recommend it. Lydia, our wedding planner, was a huge part of that. She was organized, calm, responsive and clearly invested from beginning to end. She handled everything seamlessly, paid attention to every detail and let us relax and enjoy the day. We had the wedding of our dreams at the Black Horse Inn. From our first tour, the stunning grounds, warm, elegant atmosphere and the feel of the space all seemed just right. Thank you to Lydia and the whole team at the Black Horse Inn for making it unforgettable.
