Kirsty made breakfast feel so personal. She remembered our coffees and what we liked to eat, and we’d have a lovely little chat about the day ahead. The food was amazing, and the rest of the staff were lovely too. My partner and I stayed for a few nights just before Christmas, and the service was outstanding throughout. We’d absolutely come back, and we’re planning to book for our anniversary in May. Hope to see you soon, Kirsty. Lots of love, Memphis + Harry x

The bedside lights were easy to switch off, so there was no stumbling around in semi-darkness. A nice bonus. The hotel suited our needs well and felt well appointed for its price range. Breakfast was hearty, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

We had a big dinner for 17 the evening before the wedding. Everyone enjoyed it, and all the meals arrived together, which isn't always easy with a large group. The staff made the whole stay straightforward, from check-in and arranging nearby rooms to checking out. We stayed with 15 others before the wedding, then 24 of us came back for the wedding night. Our group included older relatives and toddlers, and everyone was comfortable and happy. I'd highly recommend it for groups or any kind of stay.

That real fire was perfect on a named storm weekend. We had a lovely two-day break, with friendly service, nice real ale and wine, and great staff.
