Avril and Sue deserve credit for the warm welcome, the tidy room and the tasty breakfast, even if the stunning view from the house is beyond their control. Their kindness stood out most of all. We had an amazing time at Thistle House Guest House, a lovely spot for a cosy break.

We only had one night with Sue and Avril and wished we'd booked more. Sue greeted us with tea in the lounge, then kindly helped us make dinner reservations at The George Hotel, which I'd recommend too. The thought they put into what they offer at Thistle House really shows. Breakfast was delicious and set us up perfectly for the day. We'll book more nights when we return to Scotland. Highly recommend.

We stayed just one night and were already wishing we could have stayed longer. The room was really comfortable, with a stunning view over Loch fynn to wake up to, and the hosts were welcoming and happy to help with anything. Breakfast was cooked to order, and honestly the best I've had in a long time. Can't wait to come back. Annette and alan

We stayed in the Campbell room, with its very comfortable king size bed and beautiful bathroom. The whole house was lovely and warm, and in the morning we had a delicious breakfast before heading off after a busy weekend in strachur. We arrived late, so we were very grateful that the owner stayed up to help us check in. My wife and I had a lovely stay at the thistle guest house. It's extremely good value, and we'd highly recommend it to others. Thanks, Lewis and Anna
