Hyatt Centric Cambridge

It’s a very modern hotel, but the location is terrible. Eddington feels like a ghost town, full of soulless new builds that nobody lives in. Rooms are small but average, and the windows aren’t soundproof, so you hear what’s going on outside pretty quickly. Honest review, it’s ok.

The location worked well for us, with a walk into Cambridge taking about 15 minutes and Brook Leys park run only 2 minutes away. The room was excellently priced, clean, spacious, and very well equipped.

After a long road trip, I arrived early without a reservation. Zoe at the front desk was super polite and helpful, and got me sorted with a room despite having no notice. She was an absolute pleasure to talk to, and arranged everything with little hesitation. I’d highly recommend the place to anyone in the Cambridge area.

I was there for one business night in December. The hotel is sleek, modern, very clean, and the staff are friendly. My room was incredibly spacious and stylish, with a very comfortable bed. It was quiet and well insulated against noise and cold. There was basic tea and coffee, plus a little fridge for anything I needed to store. Breakfast wasn’t for me, as it was very unhealthy, so I didn’t get anything. It’s £20 to pay on the day, with pancakes, a full English, cereal and fruit in a buffet. There aren’t many nearby options apart from a cute little coffee shop and a Sainsbury’s. For visitors with diabetes, or anyone more health conscious, it would be nice to have more salads and whole foods.
