Alex was so friendly and helpful, and clearly knows the area well. The cooked breakfasts were amazing. Thorn House is in a handy spot for visiting Cambridge and Ely, with a lovely village pub only a minute's walk away. We also enjoyed hearing about the nature reserve and Carriages, where you can have high tea in an old 1930s railway carriage. Our suite was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with everything we needed to come and go independently. The village and B&B are beautiful, and the place was so quiet. It was just right for our three-night mini break, and then some.

The Fens are beautiful, and there's a pub within walking distance, so this would work well for a short break too. I stayed for two days while doing site surveys, and the location, space, and facilities were all spot on. It was also considerably cheaper than the local hotels, which made it a great find for a work trip.

Getting an Uber to Cambridge on Saturday was easy enough, and we loved staying at Thorn House. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was great. The Three Tuns around the corner had a really nice atmosphere and pub.

The peaceful spot made for a great night's sleep, especially with such a comfortable bed. Alex was welcoming and accommodating, and brought a delicious home-cooked breakfast to our door in the morning. The suite felt lovely and homely, with a bedroom, shower room, and little lounge. Would definitely recommend.

Alex was an amazing host. Breakfast arrived at the time we arranged and was lovely. We were looking for somewhere to rest after a long day walking for charity, and everything was perfect as soon as we arrived. There were welcome cakes, and the heating was already on.
