The Dog was just what we wanted for a special celebration. We had a lovely meal for my wife's 60th birthday, with delicious food and friendly, attentive staff. Thank you, we'd love to come again. David

The Dog at Wingham feels warm and inviting, and if you're after style, high standards and good service, it makes a lasting impression. We came on Sunday for my partner's birthday, and Marilyn, the proprietor, quickly sorted out a minor issue with our food. From the moment we arrived, service was excellent. A staff member greeted us with a smile at the striking bar and showed us to our table. The interior and furnishings are stunning, with so much attention to detail. Drinks are brought right to your table, which is a lovely extra.

We've been to this pub twice and it hasn't disappointed. We drive all the way from London, about 2 hours, for lunch, and it's worth it. This time we had beef tartare and crispy lamb to start, then rib eye steak. The food and service are exceptional. We'll be back!

We brought 19 people for a big family lunch, and the team made it a really lovely afternoon. The food was fantastic, with plenty of choice to suit both adults and kids. Everyone was super helpful and friendly, from sorting pre orders to looking after us on the day. Thanks so much to the whole team.

Room 6 was lovely, with a comfortable bed, and we knew from the moment we arrived that we were in for a treat. After checking in, we had drinks and oysters at the bar for half an hour, then sat down to a delicious starter, main and dessert. Abbey looked after us brilliantly, and thanks to Tom for the wine too. We came for Sunday lunch and stayed overnight. We’ll definitely be back.
