Cairn Hotel

Cairn hotel feels warm and friendly, just like Carrbridge, and the pub had a great vibe after dinner. I wish I’d left room for dessert. The fish and chips were the best I’ve ever had, which is quite a claim from someone who comes from the coast. The restaurateur and waiting staff were brilliant, and the meal was second to none. A wonderful evening.

The building is beautiful and the location is great, so we’d certainly come back. My elderly mother and I stayed at the Cairn Hotel for a week, having picked certain things in advance for her comfort, and we had quite an adventure. What mattered most to us was the staff. About 90% were friendly and willing to go the extra mile to check we were okay. Alice, our waitress, was someone we quickly fell in love with, and deputy-manager Reese acted as quickly as he spoke to make us comfortable at every turn. Thank you to all the staff. The cold conditions, things that didn’t work, odd restaurant experiences, dodgy Wifi, an early morning false fire alarm, and no smart TV all became minor by comparison. Nothing in life is perfect, and your kindness meant a lot. We’ll definitely be back. Warm hugs, Sarah and June.

We came across this lovely, quaint restaurant and bar on a drive. The staff were super friendly, the place welcomes dogs, and our food was delicious. I had the steak and ale pie, my friend had the Angus burger, and we both got sticky toffee pudding. We’re sure to return, and I can’t recommend it enough.

The views over the countryside made for a peaceful, relaxing stay, and the hotel was cozy, clean, and welcoming. We were a family of four and loved our time at the Cairn Hotel. The staff were warm and friendly, and made an effort to make us feel at home. We also enjoyed the food: crispy, well-cooked fish and chips, tender juicy sirloin, and a rich, hearty steak and ale pie, all delicious and nicely presented. Landmark Forest Theme Park was easy to get to, which worked well for the kids. A hidden gem, highly recommended.
