Moxy Chester

The canal-side setting was lovely, and breakfast had plenty to choose from, including cereal, bread, cooked dishes and fruit. Drinks at the bar were inexpensive, and the service there was excellent. Our room was spotless, the bed very comfortable, the water hot, and the rose petals on the floor and bed were a nice surprise. The staff were genuinely friendly, polite and helpful. The manager even called us a taxi into town, and they were happy to assist with the easy payment process. The car park is small, but we found a space. We only stayed one night while visiting Chester, and my wife and I were both impressed. We’ll absolutely come back.

We brought our dog Milo, and he got such a warm welcome from the staff, which made a real difference to our stay. The hotel has a laid-back, modern feel, and our room was spotless, comfortable and well equipped for a short break. It was easy to explore Chester from here: we walked the city walls, went into town, and everything was nearby. Staff were friendly without overdoing it, and the bar and social space had a nice atmosphere for relaxing after a day out. I’d happily return for a stylish, comfortable, pet-friendly stay in a handy spot.

The parking setup was a little irritating, and the walk from the car park was a bit long. The bar food was fine, though nothing special. I enjoyed the breakfast, which had a good range of choices. For our one night, the bed was comfortable and the hot shower was great. Moxy is such good value, and I’d stay here again.

We got locked in the bathroom toilet, which was pretty alarming. If I’d been there alone, I might have been stuck for more than 12 hours until housekeeping arrived. Aside from that, my boyfriend and I had a nice stay at Moxy, Chester. The decor is fancy, breakfast was decent, and I’d stay again.
