Olde House by Marstons Inns

It’s roomier inside than the exterior would suggest, with lots of free parking. The rooms and beds were comfortable, quiet and nicely furnished. Although the rooms are reached through the pub area, they felt like a separate, pleasant hotel. The place was spotless and homely, with a relaxed feel. Staff were friendly, the drinks selection was good, and ordering food from the table was easy. Lunch and breakfast were both really nice. It exceeded my expectations.

We found it easy to get around from here, whether we wanted to explore locally or find somewhere to eat. It was convenient and stress-free, and the stay felt like good value. Our room was spacious, tidy and comfortable, with everything we needed. The bed was especially comfortable after long days out, and the hotel was quiet enough for a restful night. It was clean and well looked after, which put us at ease. The staff were friendly, attentive and professional throughout, always ready to help with a smile. Their service gave the stay a personal touch. We left feeling refreshed and looked after, and would happily recommend this comfortable, well-serviced hotel and return.

The breakfasts were cooked individually and served, and they were superb. There was a good choice, and the food was very good and reasonably priced. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with lovely wool carpets, huge, very comfortable beds, a fantastic shower and a lovely long bath. Faultless. The staff were brilliant too, friendly, attentive and professional. They seemed confident and capable, clearly loved their jobs and worked really well as a team.

The room was clean, nicely presented and comfortable, and it was very quiet. There was good parking available. It did feel rather warm at first, but once I turned the TRV to a lower temperature, it was fine.
