Grosvenor Lodge Guest House

Christchurch is a pretty area, with lots of places to eat and drink, and the town is within walking distance. We had a lovely stay, and breakfast was really good and filling. The Greek yogurt was especially nice. We’d like to come back.

The lodge was welcoming, and the staff were very friendly. Everything was clean and tidy, and the place was well looked after, with cosy finishing touches. It was handy to have a water dispenser available. Breakfast was a lovely continental spread, with a good choice of food, coffee, tea, and juice. We really enjoyed our stay.

Yas and her team were brilliant. The room was spotless and the beds were so comfortable. We had to leave early for a rugby competition, so I asked Yas if we could come to breakfast early, and she arranged it perfectly. We’ll definitely be back, thank you! 😃

I had a lovely stay last year and really hoped to feel just as welcome this time, but I wasn’t sure I’d found the same guest house. The room itself was spotless and so pleasant to come into. On a fairly warm September day, though, the radiator was on, and when I tried the owners’ number, the only way to reach them, there was no response. At breakfast, nobody seemed able to understand the meal I was asking about. Compared with last year, breakfast was just OK for the price, and calling it complimentary felt odd when it was included in what I paid. Such a shame.
