Great Ryburgh worked well as a base for seeing North Norfolk, and there’s parking behind the B&B. We spent three lovely nights at Melody House. The room was really nice, the bed was comfortable, and fresh fluffy towels were left each day. Breakfast was tasty and nicely presented, with a good choice made the night before. The scrambled eggs with butter were a particular favourite. Audrey, who runs the place, has experience with a pub, a larger hotel, and entertaining, so she knows how to serve up a good breakfast. Downstairs is quirky, with interesting memorabilia from past decades.

Room 1 was cosy and tastefully decorated, with everything we needed. Breakfast, all cooked by Audrey, was superb, and even the plates and salt and pepper pots were matching bone china. The downstairs lounges had been decorated for Christmas with lots of natural foliage, done really tastefully. We’d visited the Thursford Christmas spectacular show during our stay, and Melody House gave us such a warm, hug-like feeling. The decor brought back so many memories and almost felt like being transported to the early 60s. Thanks to Audrey and Christopher for hosting us. We’d certainly recommend it.

Audrey is an absolute treasure, with a fascinating background from many years as a performing musician and artist. Her attention to detail throughout the B&B is outstanding. The rooms have plenty of character and are thoughtfully designed, and breakfast was superb. The place is filled with charming, fascinating things and has wonderful design. We loved our time here, and it’s easy to recommend to anyone travelling through.

The breakfast was excellent, and the rooms had all the equipment we needed. Audrey manages this lovely little B&B and has so many stories to tell. They’re fascinating and entertaining. Easy to recommend.

The hosts were good, and breakfast was fab. It felt lovely and homely, with clean bedding and nice towels.
