The Avon Causeway Hotel- Inn

The staff were so helpful and friendly throughout our two nights with our two children. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, with a choice that suited everyone. Our room worked well for a short family stay, and we appreciated the tea, coffee and proper milk in a flask from the bar.

I was staying nearby to be close to my elderly parents, and the staff were lovely and friendly. They made meals feel welcoming too. I had the Sunday roast pork, which was perfect. My room was cosy, the bed comfortable, and I slept really well.

We had a lovely roast for Sunday lunch on a miserable rainy day. The pub was clean, welcoming and nicely decorated, with warm staff and efficient service that never made us feel rushed or in the way. The beetroot hummus starter was superb, and the roast was good value. Our one gripe was the extra flatbread: it cost almost as much as the whole dish and felt a tad overpriced. We’ll definitely return.

I mostly come on Sundays and have never been disappointed. The food is always good and nicely presented, and during the week it’s a good place to hide away and eat. The hotel is very clean throughout. Staff are friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is the drive to get here. I wish it were at the end of my garden! Keep doing what you’re doing, The Avon staff, you’ve got it right.
