The area is stunning and full of history, with plenty to do without driving. I’d recommend visiting the priory, and we’re already looking at booking another stay. After three nights, it far exceeded our expectations. We got a warm welcome and tokens for a complimentary drink to use any time during the stay. The room was clean and homely, with plenty of tea, coffee, water and towels. Breakfast was fresh and amazing, and the restaurant is gorgeous. All the staff were lovely, and at checkout the chef had made us fresh baked biscuits as a thank you. Thanks to everyone who made our holiday memorable.

The hotel doesn’t serve dinner, which is a shame since lunch is good and breakfast has a nice selection. Still, there are about twenty restaurants nearby, so it’s easy to find somewhere to eat locally. Book through the hotel and you get a 10% discount. The location is lovely, the rooms are fresh, clean and have what you need, and the staff are warm, welcoming and attentive. The food is good.

The room was incredibly comfortable and had a fantastic view of a nearby castle. In the morning, the included breakfast was far better than I expected. From arrival, the place felt luxurious, and the staff were polite and welcoming throughout. Check-in came with a drinks token for the bar, with a good choice of drinks. I was very impressed and would return whenever I can.

I visited with my mum and daughter two weeks ago, on a Saturday night, for cocktail happy hour. The cocktails were expertly made, superb quality, and the bar service was excellent.
