We had dinner and breakfast during our stay on 1.2.26, and both were delicious and nicely presented. Ali showed us around after we arrived around 5pm, took us to our room, and explained the food and leisure times. Since we were planning to hike, he also gave us advice about the mountains, weather, and good places to go. Gemma greeted us the next morning and was just as kind and professional. The hotel was beautiful and very clean, and everyone was friendly. Thanks for having us, Ali and Gemma were lovely.

We stayed in the Windermere room/ appartment, which had fantastic facilities. There are plenty of great walks nearby, and the location is spot on. The gym and pool were good, though we didn’t get around to trying the spa. The house special burger was possibly one of the best I’ve had in ages, and the bacon was incredible. A lovely hotel. I’ll send the old folks over for a stay next!

The evening meals had a great choice for my wife, who is coeliac, and they were excellent. Breakfast was just as good. We didn’t use the Spa, so can’t comment on that. Our spacious room was spotless and had everything we needed, and the staff were so friendly, always happy to help. We’d recommend the hotel to friends and family. We were there with dear friends and got a warm welcome; the woodburning stove was soon going in the bar, where we settled in with a complimentary G & T.

We heard a bit of noise from other guests in our room, but it passed quickly and nobody disturbed our sleep. The hotel feels like a friendly family-run place, with lovely staff and excellent service. We really enjoyed the meal and couldn’t fault the food. The gym was impressively well equipped for its size. The pool was warm and lovely, with a hot tub and steam room too, though the hot tub wasn’t very hot when I got in. A great little hotel, would recommend.

A real gem for people who are Gluten Free or coeliac. The kitchen knows its stuff and makes safe food that’s absolutely gorgeous. Brilliant staff too, highly recommend.
