The room was modern, had everything we needed and was great value. We slept well, and the location was handy for shops and walks in the forest. Reception were friendly and helpful. The restaurant experience was another matter: breakfast was greasy and badly overcooked. My partner barely ate hers, and our child only managed a little. When I mentioned it while paying, the staff member laughed and handed over the bill. We had a good stay otherwise, but we won't book breakfast or eat there again. The evening food might be better, though I'd be cautious.

The food was outstanding, and the rest of the restaurant staff were warm and excellent. The lady managing food and drink, though, made us feel unwelcome. She checked on the guests behind us while leaving us waiting, then asked whether we had a reservation. We explained we were staying at the hotel, but she said that didn't matter and gave us an empty table. Later she overlooked us again when we went to pay. The experience put us off eating there on our final night. The rooms were spacious, clean and warm, and the hotel's other staff were friendly and welcoming.

We checked in on Friday the 17th for one night. The room was spotless and the bed really comfortable. The Sandpiper Restaurant was a highlight, especially breakfast, and Ross, Lucas and the rest of the staff gave us great service. The location is brilliant. I'd definitely return.

We arrived a little after midnight and were met with lovely service. The room was just right, and we slept really well. Everything from the room and attention to service and breakfast went well beyond what we expected. Thanks to all of you!

My first visit was for work, and I'd happily come back. The staff were helpful and friendly, and my room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Breakfast was generous and excellent. The evening meals were tasty, good sized and reasonably priced.
