The Alexandra Court Hotel

There’s plenty of off-street parking, and the cooked breakfast was delicious, especially the perfectly served poached eggs. Gluten-free choices among the muesli and cereals were very limited. The front-of-house team were excellent, and this independent boutique hotel in Congleton had a warm, comfortable room with a nicely appointed interior and a comfy bed. The ensuite was okay, though I had to be careful with the separate hot tap because the water came out scalding hot. The shower had great pressure, but although the tray was wide, it was shallow, and the shower bar and riser got in the way a bit inside the cubicle. That may just be a quirk of the room I stayed in. I’d definitely recommend the hotel.

We had the last afternoon tea sitting at 3pm, and it was lovely and quiet. The team made it a really relaxing visit, with a cosy, warm atmosphere and a friendly welcome from katie and Marcio. The food from Andy, who worked at Claridges, was superb. Fully recommend it. Thankyou to the team.

There’s a Tesco express just a minute’s walk away, open late, and the car parking was perfect. Breakfast was great too. At check-in, the receptionist was super helpful and explained everything clearly. The place was very clean, and the room had everything you’d want. A top place to stay.

We’ve had plenty of family get-togethers at the Alexandra Court over the years, and once again it made for a fabulous experience. The food and service are wonderful, with such a caring touch. I recommend it without reservation.
