We stopped for one night on the way to a family reunion. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff were very helpful. The location is excellent for motorway links. The attached pub was a good place for drinks and an evening meal at reasonable prices.

Breakfast was good, but there was only one person serving, so things ran slowly. It wasn’t their fault, but pastries and muffins ran out, and there was only strawberry yoghurt. After the night we’d had, the little things stood out. We’re a family of four and there was just one towel. That’s a nuisance with two kids who’ll stay up late because the trip is exciting. Check-in service wasn’t bad, but at checkout they just looked up from their phone call. The room was okay and the beds were good as always, though there was a dip in the carpet. We paid for the ultra Wi-Fi, or whatever it’s called, because we needed to download films and the free Wi-Fi wasn’t great. I’m not sure which was worse. It connected but had no internet for most of the evening and night, only starting to work in the morning after most people seemed to have left. This is a perfect place for a work stopover. For a family looking for a cheaper night before the airport, I’d pay a bit more for somewhere less like a Schitt's Creek Rosebud hotel.

We had a pleasant stay and would come back next time we’re in Coventry. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful, and the bar manager went out of his way to make us and the kids feel welcome. They asked for change several times for the pool table and grab it machine, and he was happy to help. Our room was clean, the towels were fresh, and the double bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good, and the kids ate free.

After a great few days in Birmingham, we stayed here for one night. The attached Brewers Fayre was clean, smart and good value, with pleasant live music on Friday evening and delicious food. At the hotel, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was what you’d expect from a Premier Inn: comfortable, clean, with a hot shower. I’ll use it again next time I’m in the area.

The staff were polite, kind and very helpful. The receptionist also sorted out a booking issue quickly when I arrived. But that’s where the positives end for me. This place badly needs modernising. My room felt like it belonged in 1985, with a musty smell that lingered throughout the stay. The shower leaked heavily, the pressure was uneven, and the temperature kept shifting from warm to hot to cold. The carpet reminded me of the Overlook Hotel in The Shining, and the brown mahogany-style furniture looked like it had travelled from the 1970s. My room was right beside reception, so I heard everyone coming and going. Aside from the staff, this place was awful.
